BNA-22 - Stevens Pass

This car was originally built by Pullman in 1951 for the GN's re-equipped "Empire Builder". In GN service it was known as the "Skykomish River" and numbered 1260. Repainted shortly after the merger, and used on the BN's "Empire Builder". With AMTRAK taking over all passenger trains in 1971, this car was held by BN and not offered into AMTRAK's 'fleet'. In 1973 it was transferred into it's Business Car fleet and renamed "Stevens Pass". This car is currently in service in BNSF's fleet of black and cream painted colors, although soon if not already, painted silver.
